12-¾ gauge double offset innerspring unit.	Heavy-duty wire provides durability. "Double offset" or "Flat sided" coils allow for a hinging action that provides contouring to the shape of your body. This type of innerspring allows us to use an abundance of luxurious padding without sacrificing support.
Unique Chattam Edge	A patented feature which consists of a post of hard foam inserted into each of the outer perimeter coils and a strip of hard foam that is the height of the coil unit. Allows you to sit on the edge of the bed and not feel like it is collapsing. Increases the area that you have to sleep by allowing the entire surface of the mattress to be used.
Innertufted Cotton.	Cotton, a natural fiber, is the best insulator for upholstered products and minimizes noise. Inner tufting keeps upholstery from shifting and provides a superior base for the other padding that is used for the mattress. Completely compressed in the construction process to minimize the development of body impressions.
Anti-bacterial cashmere fill.	Blended with premium polyester, the anti-bacterial treatment of our mattresses inhibits the development of dust mites and other airborne allergens. Cashmere is a luxurious fiber that maintains loft better than polyester fills alone, pulls moisture away from the body, warms to the body's temperature and enhances the overall comfort and luxury of the mattress.
The best quality Belgian Damask ticking	Ticking is the fabric that covers the mattress and the foundation. Chattam & Wells ticking is all Rayon and treated with an antimicrobial finish to prevent the development of dust mites and air borne allergens. Rayon, derived from wood pulp, provides breathability not found in synthetic materials. Provides a much softer feel. Chattam & Wells ticking has a natural luster instead of a chemical polyester shine.
Embroidered handles and solid metal corner guards with lifetime warranties.	Attention to detail ensures that you are receiving top quality. The handles are meticulously sewn in so they will not pull out.
The finest in tailoring, featuring self-welted finished edges on all models.	Self-welting provides greater luxury in tailoring and finish.
Hand Crafted, 8 Way Hand Tied Foundations	All coil in construction. Chattam & Wells craftsman lace each coil using imported Italian Twine. Hand Tie lacing runs the full length and width of the foundation to provide floating, yet lateral stability at the top of each coil. Each lace is securely attached to the wood frame around the entire perimeter. Design allows the weight that is applied to the unit to be distributed evenly throughout the foundation. Steel grid top is attached to the coils to provide firm and level support to the mattress, locking each coil into place, providing a floating, but secure lateral lock. Fully upholstered with the corners filled with cotton. Solid metal corner guards are attached with nails and covered by the warranty.
Modular Foundations	Selected models feature a foundation constructed of torsion modules which provide a more rigid type of support for the mattress. Fully upholstered, the corners are filled with cotton. The corner guards are solid metal, attached with nails and are covered by the warranty.
Low Profile foundations	Most Chattam & Wells models are available with a foundation that is lower in height than a conventional foundation -- sometimes desirable if the consumer wants to "lower" the profile or height of the overall mattress set. These foundations do not affect the comfort or warranty life of the sleep set.
Split queen foundations	Split queen foundations allow for queen-sized foundations to be maneuvered through small spaces.
